Sophia : The First Robot to Make and Sell an NFT
The first NFT created by a robot was just sold. Now what ?
Sophia the robot has just sold an NFT for approximately $700,000 at a Hong Kong Auction.
The NFT (non-fungible token) was co-created by Sophia the robot and Andrea Bonaceto.
The NFT sold is titled Sophia Instantiation and it exhibits or presents the possibilities of collaborating and co-creating with robots and machines as partners.
The auction was held on Nifty Gateway which is a marketplace for NFTs drops and has included other iconic drops such as the carbon drop which included NFTs by Fvckrender, beeple, GMUNK, Reisinger Andrés, Sara Ludy, Refik Anadol, Kyle Gordon, and Mieke Marple.
