With the technology gift at our hands, there are plenty of sources and websites that offer knowledge and courses, however, this could also be overwhelming and daunting if you do not know what you do not know. Therefore, to save you a couple of hours of surfing the web and getting lost in the blackhole of YouTube, Here’s our favorite architecture YouTube channels that offer valuable insights.
Who : This is the official YouTube channel of the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
What : This channel is perfect for those looking for lectures and conversations regarding architecture and to stay up to date with current and recent important architectural topics. You can also occasionally find free online courses straight from Harvard.
Who : Official YouTube channel of the famous online architecture and design magazine
What : If you’re an auditory or a visual learner, then this channel is a great alternative to reading the online magazines’ articles. The channel provides interviews and insights into projects that are featured in the online magazine.
Who : weekly videos about art, design, and architecture
What : This channel is a great resources for those who like to expand their knowledge in design, art, and architecture. The channel provides a variety of different artists and architects and broadens one’s horizons.
There is always something to learn from Eric Reinholdt, a practicing architects who shares his experience as an architect and an entrepreneur.
His videos range from videos about what does an architect do, to his design process, to design principles, and practical experience advice (which architecture education severely lacks).
Karin Bohn is an interior designer who also shares her experience as a small business owner as well as an interior design through videos of her everyday process may it be client meetings, site visits, or business development.
The architecture education lacks real life experience or contact and such videos and channel can really help in understanding the challenges that architects and designers have to conquer in the business life.
I cannot recommend this channel enough, if you are a student or a professional and looking for a better way to represent your ideas and process, this channel is indispensable!
This channel offers a variety of tutorials that are easy to follow and covers several styles and scales from diagrams to renders to presentation boards.
If you are just starting out in Revit and want to learn the tips and tricks, this channel is for you!
This architecture YouTube channel is rich with Revit tutorials ranging in skill levels from an absolute beginner to advanced tutorials.
If you are currently thinking about learning Revit or currently using it, be prepared to take your Revit knowledge and skills to a whole new level with this architecture channel.

On a final note, there are currently many online and free sources for you to develop and improve your skills. On the other hand, the true skill is to know where you should direct your focus and to take it step by step – as the amount of free knowledge out there can be overwhelming.
