The third category is natural analogues and it implies indirect hints of nature within our spaces. These could be in the form of nature-inspired patterns or shapes that mimic nature.

Biophilic design could sound expensive and unrealistic upfront, however, the past year has shown just how important it is to have active and engaging indoors as well as our connection to nature.

Hopefully, as the world eases lockdowns once more, and we slowly head back to our offices and schools, we will start to see changes in how we live and how we design our indoors and outdoors to remain safe, healthy, and engaged.
